Thank you for visiting the site of Tsang Stream Lab, led by Dr. Yinphan Tsang, based in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
Our lab investigates surface flow processes and their implications in fluvial ecosystems. We study streams, their movement, their pulse, the life they support, and the consequences when they are impaired. We use interdisciplinary approaches (e.g., field observation, horological modeling, statistical analysis, landscape approach) to advance our understanding of streams, and we eager to share and let everyone knows how important streams are!
